AI amplifies
what it finds.

In a product team with strong foundations, it sharpens judgement and accelerates delivery. Without them, it accelerates the wrong things faster. The question is what your team is built on.

For product leaders, designers and engineers in real organisations.

Why this exists

The conversation nobody
is having honestly.

I have spent twenty-five years building product and design teams. The teams that handle change well are never the ones who figured it out alone. They are the ones who could be honest with each other about what was breaking, and act on it.

AI is the sharpest version of that test yet. With strong foundations it amplifies judgement and accelerates good decisions. Without them it accelerates the wrong things faster, with more confidence and less visibility. Most teams are privately unsure and publicly certain, and the honest conversation is not happening.

The answer is care capital: the conditions that decide whether a team can do its best work, and whether AI amplifies its strengths or its blind spots.

01
The productivity paradox
Most teams using AI are moving faster without moving forward. Speed without direction is not progress, it is a more efficient way to be wrong.
02
The collaboration collapse
AI adoption tends to make individuals more capable and teams less coherent. People coordinate outputs rather than think together.
03
The trust gap
Product teams are shipping AI features into a world where trust in AI is already low. The product decisions being made now are either widening that gap or closing it.
04
The human cost
The productivity case for AI is being built on people who are already stretched. The bar quietly rises. The conditions for good work quietly deteriorate.

What's here

The diagnostic.

Twenty-five questions across the five conditions. About eight minutes. You get a radar of your scores, benchmarked against other product teams, with specific recommendations for where to focus.

Complete it individually, then share with your team. When three or more people from the same organisation respond, you get a combined view, including the variance between responses. That variance is usually where the real conversation starts.
